Anne Geier began her career with an apprenticeship in Carpentry with the Compagnons du Devoir in France and, then later moved to Berlin to study Product Design at the Berlin Weissensee School of Art. She graduated as master-class student in product design in the year 2015. To gain practical experience she was already working during her studies for various designers and companies: Lautsprecher Teufel, Tesseraux + Partner, jakob timpe, space + objects and Triad Berlin. Self-initiated and commissioned, she is now working on projects among others with Staab Architekten and Alape GmbH and is part of the innovation garage of thyssenkrupp AG.
I am considering design as a tool for decision-making: starting projects by developing design topics, then finding form and incorporating viable means of production and company culture.
At the same time I am passionate to think with my hands using a wide range of prototyping and visualization techniques – to develop new ideas and concepts for haptic and interactive objects. Inspired by everyday-life-rituals, I am concerned for new aesthetics, shapes and structures. I am always looking for new and exciting projects and collaborations. If you are interested in working with me, please get in touch.
